CANDY BOWLES, FOUNDER

In case you are wondering, I did not choose "Candidus" because it sounds like Candy. Candidus, in Latin, means shine, brightness, fair, clarity. It reflects my focus and approach - to declutter and create clarity, in order to develop fit-for-purpose recommendations and ultimately a sharper focus for the client.

My career spans from startups to publicly listed companies. The rich experience allows me to navigate the dynamics and work with businesses at different stages while appreciating what keeps the management teams awake at night.

A short summary of my career: Chief Secretary’s Private Office and Health and Welfare Bureau of the Hong Kong Government; L.E.K. London and Shanghai; on the Executive Management Board of TT Electronics plc. Over 15 years of consulting experience; delivered over 120 assignments.

I have been involved in charity and non-profit work (trustee, advisor, business mentor) since 2008. It gives me the opportunity to work with people from different walks of life. My most recent focuses are animal welfare and sustainability. I focus on governance, strategy, social media and communication.

In Sep 2019, I founded Melted Inside, an online marketplace for artisan food and drinks to bring back food provenance, allowing makers to tell their stories and customers to get to know the hearts and souls behind the products.
